We have had 5 heatwaves this summer so the leaves are showing some signs of damage. However, they will soon drop for the Autumn.

Acer palmatum/ Japanese Maple bonsai from an old bonsai collection, a variety known as Tsunami Beni (5 lobes deeply cut, red tips). The name means red nail – because of the like red tips on the Spring leaves.

This is a big tall tree! If you are able to collect it in person from me (HP21 7HA) I can offer a discount. It may also be possible to offer courier delivery within a 70 mile radius of my postcode.

It has green summer leaves. Grown from seed by the previous owner over many years (decades), the tree has a good age demonstrated by the maturing bark.

One of the best features of this Acer is the very good radial spread of roots; it will develop a superb nebari in the coming years.

A well-formed natural-looking tree, no wire marks and short internodes. The tree can be wired to get the best out of it.

As with all bonsai available on the bonsai4me.com/shop, this tree has been treated with Danu from ProBio Carbon to encourage disease resistance and bushier, better distributed growth habit.
