Salix caprea/Pussy Willow or Goat Willow bonsai.

This is a very unusual, rarely seen species for bonsai, particularly shohin-sized. It is currently planted in a plastic training pot, having a rest after 5 years in a very small shohin pot in my personal collection.

I have just pruned it back very hard, as I have done for the past 6-7 years. It is a very vigorous tree and has been shaped by clip-and-grow only.

Features natural deadwood.
