Euonymus europaeus/European Spindle Yamadori bonsai collected by myself in early Spring 2022. The tree is very strong and has grown well in the 4 years since collection. It has been allowed to grow freely each year before being cut back hard each Autumn.

This is a very unique opportunity to buy a piece of material collected by myself from 'The Hill'. 

Spindle are a fast growing species that produce fabulous berries in the autumn; this tree is already producing berries and their number will increase with ago. Autumn colour is a very strong scarlet and yellow.

An old tree, it is very rare to find specimens with trunks as big as this one. It has already been wired into a naturalistic style to ensure that the new branches have movement. The deadwood has been created naturally and indeed the tree already features natural deadwood features. The deadwood is extremely hard and will not break down.

Spindles have a very fine root habit similar to Berberis or azalea and this tree will happily tolerate moving to a fairly shallow bonsai pot.

Grows in full sun or deep shade.

A very strong tree that is ready for styling and further development. The tree has great potential for the future.

As with all bonsai and raw material available on the bonsai4me.com/shop, this tree has been treated with Danu from ProBio Carbon to encourage disease resistance and bushier, better distributed growth habit.
