A huge Crataegus monogyna/Hawthorn bonsai yamadori that I collected myself, 5 years ago in January 2020.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a very big statement-piece Hawthorn for the garden, it's one of the biggest trees I collected from 'The Hill' here in the Chilterns.

Reluctant sale but unfortunately I have run out of room in my garden and have another big Hawthorn like this!

The tree is growing in a 60cm diameter half-pot where it has been since collection. The Hawthorn can be (partially) seen here on the actual collecting trip where i took it (Unfortunately failing light in early January meant the point where the tree came out of the ground can't be seen!).

The Hawthorn features some superb natural deadwood created by deer and rabbits up on the hill. Its age is well over 100 years, possibly double that. I cut the tree back hard last Autumn to increase the number of new branches this Spring.

The tree HAS to be collected in person from HP21 although I could possibly ship on a pallet.

As with all bonsai available on the bonsai4me.com/shop, this tree has been treated with Danu from ProBio Carbon to encourage disease resistance and bushier, better distributed growth habit.
